Commercial Lines Data Analyst
COMMERCIAL LINES - DATA ANALYST
As part of the Commercial Lines team, you will assist in all aspects of the financial analysis and reporting for our client services and sales leadership team.
This role requires an individual who is professional, highly analytical, and who displays drive, determination, and self-motivation. The individual will provide timely, professional, and accurate data analytics services to the Commercial Lines Practice Leader. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for sourcing, manipulating, and formatting data, using data to formulate projections and drive negotiations, and working in partnership with a team to develop effective sales & service solutions for our internal and external clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create financial deliverables for a mixture of business segment clients
• Utilize analytical tools, checklists, and templates to identify cost reduction opportunities
• Manage multiple deadlines and workflows within a fast-paced, team environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and internal communication
• Maintain proficiency extracting data from primary and secondary sources with an emphasis on driving accuracy and developing process efficiencies
• Become familiar with and develop skill set around data analytics
• Contribute to enhancement of client services/sales by being well informed and maintaining a familiarity with industry trends
• Assist with producing client-facing stewardship reports for our critical path team and clients.
• Collect and organize information from various sources into useful reports
• Use critical thinking to analyze data and assist in solution development
• Assist Client Services in financial management and reporting activities
• Understand and utilize systems and applications used by finance, operations, and staff (EPIC, CORE, Iconixx, and various other systems)
• Special Projects, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED AND PREFERRED)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Prefer experience with Applied Systems (EPIC)
• Very strong attention to detail
• Excellent communicator, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude
• Strong soft skills (i.e. problem solver, team player, proactive, entrepreneurial)
• High sense of urgency
• Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data
• Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations policies, and procedures
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently
Department Account Management & Service
Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience

Required Education: College diploma (3-year degree)
